From 29th to 30th of June the DANUBEPARKS team gathers in Kopacki rit in Croatia to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the DANUBEPARKS network of Protected Areas.
Ten years ago, in April 2007, protected area managers from eight Danube countries met in Tulcea and established the Danube River Network of Protected Areas. Today DANUBEPARKS consists of 16 partners from 9 Danube countries.
The DANUBEPARKS 10th anniversary will be celebrated by the Kick- off of the 1st Danube Volunteers day to promote dry habitats. The DANUBEPARKS team will voluntarily work for one day in the Nature Park Kopacki rit. In September 2017 all Protected Areas will organise a Volunteers day for the public.
The celebration will be accompanied by a couple of local events such as the DanubeART Festival.
