Environmental education is one of the core tasks of Protected Area administrations, and we strive to make our offer more complete and attractive all the time. For this, we also need to know what exists all along the Danube: To gain new ideas, to avoid doubling and tripling efforts, to fill gaps in themes and regions.
As this overview doesn't exist, a team from different Protected Areas is going on a journey of nearly three weeks all along the river, through all ten Danube countries. They are visiting more than 30 sites, experience it with their own senses, and hold interviews to know more about the background issues.
To let everyone else know about our discoveries as well, we are of course publishing an overview map as well as a detailed report in the months after the journey. Right now however, you can follow us live: On our blog www.danubeparks.org/blogs/danube_education, we are giving you updates every day (or every day we have internet access) on what we discovered and learned.
