The Kick-Off Conference for the transnational nature conservation project DANUBEPARKS has taken place on June 7 th - 9 th at the Donau-Auen Nationalparks. Directors, project managers and representatives of the 12 Protected Areas from 8 Danube countries attended the conference and presented the activities of the 7 work packages of the project. At the press conference in Vienna, all project partners signed the Declaration of Vienna. The Declaration sets forth the goals of the new network, the proclaimed objectives of sustainable collaboration, and a concrete schedule for further steps.
The establishment of the DANUBEPARKS becomes a reality!
